The Frisco Lady Raccoons played a tough playoff game against Highland Park, the 2012 4A State Champions, on Friday. The Lady Raccoons played tough but lost to the Scots 3-0, ending the Raccoons playoff run.
This team was strong and fierce all season long. There were many shining moments throughout the season led by team captains, Kailee, Jordan and Lauren. There was a great come from behind 5-3 win against Hockaday, a 2-0 win against Plano, a dominating 7-0 victory over Little Elm, district opener 8-0 win over Heritage and a first round 3-1 play off win over Prosper.
This team was successful by all accounts. Success requires so many elements: hard work, commitment, perseverance, determination, skill, and experience. This Lady Raccoon Varsity team possessed all of these and more. One more key element: team unity. These young ladies worked well together. These ladies put together an impressive and successful season.
I have enjoyed watching and photographing this group of Lady Raccoons. They are outstanding young ladies, role models, and leaders. They took the field, played with confidence and strived for excellence. They played with heart, always had a positive attitude and never gave up. They played with composure and dignity, winning and losing with grace.
Congratulations on a stellar season, and I look forward to next year's season.
Here are some of my favorite images from the Varsity team's season.
