Even with the exciting games by the Freshman teams, the most exciting, thrilling match went to the Frisco High JV Volleyball Team.  I am not sure if I have ever witness a more thrilling match.  The Lady Raccoons had a slow start, a few miscues in the first game had Wakeland taking the victory 25-18.  The Lady Raccoons played strong the second game and forced a third set.   The Lady Raccoons were up in the third set 12-10, playing well.  Good serving by #6, great hits by #21, #8 and #15 had Frisco up 17-13.  Wakeland proved tough and tied it up at 17.  Frisco gained the lead at 20-19 with fantastic hits by #6 and #13.  Wakeland had some good plays of their own and went up 23-20.  The Frisco fans were cheering their team on, on the edge of their seats.  The Frisco faithful wanted the win.  A hit over the net for a point by 21 and a service ace by #15 had the crowd go wild with Frisco tying it up at 23.  Another hit over the net by #21 gave Frisco the lead at 24-23. But once again Wakeland proved tough, taking the lead 25-24.  A great game saving hit by #7 in the back of the court gave Frisco new life. Back and forth points, with great plays on both sides of the net had it tied up at 27-27.   A hit from #6 to #2 set it up for #7 to hit a kill over the net for a 28-27 Frisco lead.  The excitement had the hearts of the Frisco crowd beating at top speed.  Number #21 served under great pressure and #8 had a fantastic block for the final point.  Frisco 29- Wakeland 27.  The Frisco players, bench and crowd went wild.  A thrilling game with an awesome outcome.  Way to fight, Frisco.  Congratulations on a hard fought, well deserved win!!
