The Staley Mustang 7th Grade boys played the Roach Rams tonight in the final game of the regular season.  The Mustangs dominated the game.  They had possession of the ball at least two thirds of the game.  Staley had the ball near the goal quite a bit, and despite several shots on goal, the Mustangs were not successful until midway through the first half.  Staley got things started in the 14th minute when Austin crossed it to a mid-fielder who shot it right past the goalie.  The Mustangs scored again about three minutes before the half.  Trent hustled the ball down the sideline and made a great pass to the midfielder who finished it easily.  Staley took the 2-0 lead to the half.   Staley controlled the ball for most of the second half.  They had many chances to score, taking numerous shots on goal.  The Mustangs finally scored again with three minutes left in the game.  Austin took a pass just outside the box, headed straight for the keeper, side stepped and kicked it right into the goal, for the third and final goal.  The Staley Mustangs played sharp and dominated the Rams.  Hopefully, the Mustangs will take that focus and determination into the District Tournament that starts this Friday.  Congratulations on a stellar win!!  Good Luck in tournament play!!!  Way to go Mustangs!
