The Lady Raccoons JV Soccer team played  a very competitive game last night against Wakeland.   These girls played with all out effort and heart.  The girls played a very strong game in the first half keeping the Wakeland girls in check.  The defense held and the keeper made some great saves to keep the game scoreless, while the offense just kept pressing.  The girls had several shots on goal, but just could not get it into the net.  The game was scoreless at the half.   Both teams came out strong in the second half.  The Lady Raccoons were putting up a great fight.  'The Lady Raccoons almost put on in the net about seven minutes into the second half, when Audrey directed a corner kick toward the goal, but it crossed just wide.  Wakeland scored with a nice kick that went  just past the outstretch arms of Frisco's keeper.  Wakeland took the lead 1-0.  Frisco continued to play strong, having several shots on goal, with one kicked just over the top of the goal. The defense stayed strong keeping the shots on goal to a minimum and everyone breathed a sigh of relief as a shot on goal by Wakeland sailed just over the top of the goal with less than three minutes left.  Frisco's offense had a late scoring chance that was just wide.  The Frisco girls challenged Wakeland and did not make the 1-0  win an easy road.  So proud of these young ladies for playing a stellar game against a worthy opponent.  Way to go Lady Raccoons!! Keep up the good work.
